When you make a reservation through Mesa, you may receive SMS messages related to your booking, including confirmations, reminders, updates, and cancellation notices. You will receive up to 5 messages per reservation (confirmation, reminder, and any updates or cancellations).
Consent: By providing your phone number during the reservation process (online or by phone), you consent to receive reservation-related text messages from Mesa on behalf of the restaurant. Consent is not a condition of making a reservation.

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier's standard messaging rates may apply. SMS messages are sent via Twilio. Your phone number and mobile information, including opt-in consent data, will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Mesa provides an AI-powered phone assistant that answers calls on behalf of restaurants. Calls handled by our AI assistant are recorded and transcribed to process reservations, improve service quality, and maintain accurate records.
Callers are informed at the beginning of each call that the call may be recorded. By continuing the call after this disclosure, you consent to the recording. If you do not wish to be recorded, you may hang up and contact the restaurant directly.
Call recordings and transcripts are stored securely and are accessible only to the restaurant that received the call and to Mesa for service improvement purposes. Recordings are retained for the duration of the restaurant's active account.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:
Mesa acts as a data processor on behalf of restaurants (the data controllers). Restaurants determine why and how guest data is used for their operations. Mesa processes this data according to the restaurant's instructions and the terms of our service agreement. If you have questions about how a specific restaurant handles your data, please contact that restaurant directly.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Database access is restricted by role-based permissions. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Restaurant owners may delete their account and associated data at any time. Guest reservation data is retained as long as the associated restaurant account is active.
